OUR STORY

We are getting married after two fabulous years together and looking forward to many more wonderful years and adventures ahead!

Our first date almost didn’t happen without Ale’s persistence. In the span of one and half months, Ale continued to ask Anna out on a date until he was finally successful on the fourth try. Anna had been living in San Francisco for about year and questioning whether or not she should move or return to Singapore. Ale, on the other hand, had been living in San Francisco for almost six years but spends 80% or more of his time traveling between Los Angeles, Saint Louis, Atlanta, New York, and so on. Without the encouragement of our friends and family (in Anna’s case, her brother, Cole, to join farmersonly.com), we would not have turned to the internet for the chance at love.

As the stars were aligned, the week in which we had our first date turned out to be the one rare week in which Ale worked from San Francisco. So after our first (and almost didn’t happen) date, we ended up going on three more dates later that same week. And if you were wondering, Ale stayed true to his roots and took Anna to an Italian restaurant where he showed off his European finesse. Obviously, Anna could not resist the accento and extra suave effort. Ale, on the other hand, knew that Anna was the one when she showed her love for Maine, wrong negroni’s*, and specifically, Italian fashion. As Ale so eloquently explains, “you’ve heard of an Italian suit but never a French suit”. Six months later, we moved in together, and another six months after that, we got engaged in Monterey Bay where we had our third date.

Ale took Anna to Lake Como for the first time in 2015 to meet his family and showed her where he grew up between the beautiful lakes and mountains of Northern Italy. After that, we could not imagine getting married anywhere else and could not be happier to share our special day with you on the lake! The talk of the town is that Ale used to swim in the very cold lake for fun and we might be able to see him live this story during the wedding weekend.
