We recommend that you consider staying in Valtellina, Colico (Lake Como) or Varenna (Lake Como). Valtellina is known for its ski center, hot springs spas, cheese, cured meats, and wine. It is also conveniently located near the church as well as a short drive to the reception at Gravedona. Colico is at the beginning of Lake Como providing convenience to visit both sides of the lake, Como and Lecco, and is positioned between the church and reception. Varenna is at the mid-section of Lake Como at the intersection of the three branches of the lake, which makes it an excellent home base to visit the triangle area formed by Bellagio, Menaggio, and Cadenabbia/Tremezzo.

La Fiorida, Mantello, Valtellina - This is a beautiful rustic hotel nestled in the Valtellina region where the Orobie Alps meet the Retiche Alps, and about a 20 min. drive to Lake Como. There is an indoor pool, full service spa, and farm onsite. Their restaurant, La Preséf, is a Michelin starred restaurant. The hotel offers singles, suites, chalets, and family room options. The hotel can also arrange for child care service with advance notice.

This is a restored 19th-century textile spinnery lakefront hotel situated in the historical centre of Varenna, a charming medieval village and one of the most appreciated tourist destinations of Lake Como. There is an outdoor pool, full spa, and direct access to the lake where you can swim. The hotel offers singles, suites, and family friendly rooms. The hotel can arrange for child care service with advance notice.

Agriturismo Castello di Vezio - houses for rent with 2-4 bedrooms and private pools set atop a village that is set on a bluff above Varenna. It dates back to the VI century A.D. and was a Celtic Ligurian settlement or possibly even Etruscan. Its name most probably derives from Vescia, a small town in Lazio, where the famous Roman, Vescinus was born. Please note that this is not within walking distance from Varenna Esino railway station and is approximately a 7 min car ride.

La contrada del Prato - this B&B is located in the heart of the historic center of Varenna at the end of the Piazza San Giorgio overlooking the Piazza San Giorgio and the lake. A short walk on the lakeside promenade leads to the ferry dock, and the train station is about 400 meters far.
Casa Cristina - as a double room, large living area with 2 armchairs which can become a double bed or two single beds, a kitchenette and a lovely outdoor terrace with table and chairs for romantic dinners or start the day with a hearty breakfast outside.
Bellagio, Menaggio, and Tremezzo
For Bellagio, you will need to catch a ferry to connect to this part of the lake and the last public ferry leaves at 11:30 PM. There is always an opportunity to call a private taxi boat as well.

For Menaggio and Tremezzo, you can take a taxi from Gravedona, and it will take approximately 20 to 30 minutes, respectively.
